Correction of the Unilateral Double-eyelid with Non-incisional Suture Method

Abstract
|
|
|
Double-eyelid operation is one of the most common cosmetic surgical procedures performed in the Orient. There have been numerous studies about the double-eyelid operation.
The Non-incision technique is the procedure of choice in appropriately choosen patients who don't have excessive amount of subcuatenous fat and who have no redundant upper lid skin and when patient do not desire a wide double eyelid line and
scars.
From January, 1990 to December, 1994, We have experienced 48 cases of correction of the unilateral double-eyelid patients with Single-stitch method or Continuous buried suture method. We have found that our method allows the construction of a
more
even,
smooth and symmetrical fold. We present that correction of a unilateral double fold can be a indication of non-incisional suture method, too.
